Tile Grout
Veromaxx tile grout is a polymer-modified, cement-based joint filler engineered for wall and floor tile installations across residential and commercial projects. It fills the joints between tiles with a waterproof, crack-resistant seal that stands up to daily use, resists common household stains, and holds its colour through years of cleaning.
What is Veromaxx Tile Grout?
Tile grout does two jobs: it seals the gaps between tiles against water and dirt, and it provides the visual finish that frames each tile. Basic sand-cement grout mixes fail at both jobs — they crack, absorb water, discolour, and eventually crumble out of the joint. Veromaxx tile grout uses a polymer-modified formula that gives the joint flexibility, waterproofing and colour stability that plain cement cannot match.
Available as a ready-to-mix powder in multiple colours, Veromaxx tile grout is the practical, cost-effective choice for standard wall and floor tile projects where the joints will not face aggressive chemical exposure or industrial use.
Stronger Than Traditional Cement Mortar
For those demanding applications, see Veromaxx epoxy grout.

How to Mix & Apply Tile Grout
Follow this verified 4-step execution protocol to ensure a 100% void-free ceramic floor installation.
Ensure tile adhesive has cured fully - minimum 24 hours after tile fixing. Clean joints of dust, adhesive residue and loose material.
Measure clean water into a bucket. Gradually add Veromaxx tile grout powder while mixing with a low-speed drill and paddle. Continue until a smooth, uniform, workable paste is achieved.
Let the mix stand for 5 minutes, then re-mix briefly before use.
Apply grout using a hard rubber float at 45° to the tile surface. Press firmly into each joint, working diagonally across the tiles to fill joints completely.
Remove excess grout from the tile face using the float held at 90°, working diagonally to avoid pulling grout out of the joints.
After 15-30 minutes (depending on ambient temperature), when the grout has firmed up in the joints, wipe the tile surface with a damp sponge in circular motions. Rinse the sponge frequently in clean water. Two to three wipes are typical.
Once dry, buff the tile surface with a soft, dry cloth to remove any final haze and reveal the clean joint line.

Tile Grout Drying & Curing Time
Veromaxx tile grout sets in 3-4 hours and is ready for light foot traffic at 24 hours. Full mechanical strength develops over 7 days. Avoid exposing joints to standing water or heavy cleaning for the first 48 hours after grouting.
Tile Grout Safety Information & Handling
Veromaxx tile grout contains cement, which is alkaline. Wear gloves, protective eyewear and a dust mask during mixing and application. Avoid skin contact with the wet mix. In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical advice. Keep out of reach of children. Full MSDS available on request.
How to Maintain Tile Grout Installations
Clean grouted joints regularly with Veromaxx tile cleaner to maintain colour and prevent staining. In wet areas, wipe down the joints after use to prevent water pooling on the joint surface. If any joint area shows damage over time, small repair areas can be re-grouted using the same product.

Is tile grout the same as cement?
No – tile grout is a purpose-formulated cementitious product designed for filling tile joints. Veromaxx tile grout is polymer-modified, meaning the base cement is enhanced with polymers that give it better waterproofing, flexibility, colour retention and joint bond than plain cement can achieve. Using plain cement for tile joints leads to cracking, staining and eventual failure.
Does Veromaxx tile grout actually resist cracking?
Yes – the polymer modification in Veromaxx tile grout gives it flexibility that plain cement grout lacks, letting the joint absorb small movements from thermal expansion and building settlement without cracking. That said, all cementitious grout can crack under extreme stress. For areas with major thermal cycling or heavy structural movement, consider Veromaxx epoxy grout for maximum crack resistance.
Can the same tile grout be used for both floors and walls?
Yes – Veromaxx tile grout is formulated for both wall and floor applications. On floors, the joint sees more mechanical wear and cleaning; on walls, more water exposure and staining risk. The product handles both cases when applied correctly. Choose the joint width and colour to match each application area.
Is tile grout a better choice than white cement for joints?
Yes – significantly better. White cement is a general-purpose construction material; tile grout is a specialised joint filler with polymer additives for flexibility, waterproofing and colour stability. White cement joints crack, stain and discolour within months. Veromaxx tile grout is engineered specifically to avoid these problems.
What is the right way to mix tile grout?
Add Veromaxx tile grout powder gradually to clean water in a clean bucket, mixing with a low-speed drill and paddle until you get a smooth, workable paste. Follow the water ratio on the pack (typically 28-32% water by weight). Let the mix stand for 5 minutes then re-mix briefly. Do not add more water later — this weakens the final grout.
