Premium Tile Adhesive for
Wall & Floor Tiles
Veromaxx tile adhesive is a polymer-modified, cement-based tile fixing solution engineered for the full spectrum of modern tile installation – from standard ceramic wall tiles to heavy vitrified and porcelain floor tiles up to large-format dimensions. Whether you are working on a residential bathroom, a commercial floor, or an exterior façade, Veromaxx tile adhesive delivers the bond strength, flexibility and open time that contractors need to lay tiles quickly, cleanly and permanently.
What is Veromaxx Tile Adhesive?
Tile adhesive has replaced traditional sand-cement mortar as the standard tile fixing chemical across professional Indian construction. Where cement mortar bonds primarily through mechanical grip on absorbent tile backs, polymer-modified tile adhesive forms a chemical and mechanical bond that holds even non-porous vitrified and porcelain tiles reliably. It is applied in a thin bed of 3-5mm using a notched trowel – a fraction of the 25-40mm thickness cement mortar requires – saving material cost, floor level, and installation time.
Veromaxx offers a graded tile adhesive range so you can match the product exactly to the tile type, substrate and exposure conditions of each job.
Stronger Than Traditional Cement Mortar
Higher grades bring greater tensile bond strength, longer open time, & increased flexibility for large-format tiles and thermally-stressed applications like exterior floors & wet areas.
Key Features of Tile Adhesive

- Waterproof performance for bathrooms, kitchens and exterior applications
- Consistent workability across the full pot life
- Manufactured under ISO-certified quality control
Benefits of Using Veromaxx Tile Adhesive
Every grade of Veromaxx tile adhesive is designed to give installers a set of practical, on-site benefits that translate into faster completion times, fewer callbacks, and longer tile life:
- 4-6 times the bond strength of sand-cement mortar
- Holds heavy vitrified and porcelain tiles that cement cannot reliably fix
- Thin-bed application saves 20-30mm of floor build-up per room
- Reduces tile-fixing time by up to 40% versus traditional mortar methods
- Eliminates hollow-tile issues when applied to the full back of the tile
- Predictable pot life and setting time – no batch-to-batch variation.

How to Use Veromaxx Tile Adhesives
Follow this verified 4-step execution protocol to ensure a 100% void-free ceramic floor installation.
surface must be clean, sound, level, and free of dust, oil, curing compounds and loose material. Dampen highly absorbent substrates before application.
Measure clean water into a clean bucket at the ratio marked on the bag (typically 25-30% by weight of powder). Add the Veromaxx powder gradually while mixing with a low-speed drill and paddle.
Mix for 3-5 minutes until a smooth, lump-free, workable paste is achieved. Let the mix stand for 5 minutes, then re-mix briefly before use.
Apply the adhesive to the substrate using a notched trowel - hold the trowel at approximately 60° to the surface to create even ribs of adhesive. Cover only the area you can tile within the open time (typically 1 m² at a time in summer).
Press each tile firmly into the adhesive with a slight twisting motion to collapse the ribs and achieve full contact. Check for full back coverage on the first few tiles by lifting and inspecting. For large-format and exterior applications, back-butter the tile as well as the substrate
Adjust tile position within the adjustment time (typically 15-20 minutes). Remove excess adhesive from tile faces and joints before it sets. Do not grout for at least 24 hours.

How to Store Tile Adhesive
Store Veromaxx Bio bags in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from direct sunlight, rain and floor moisture. Stack bags on wooden pallets, never directly on concrete or damp floors. Do not stack more than 10 bags high. Once a bag is opened, use the contents within the same working day for consistent performance. Sealed original packaging shelf life is 6 months from date of manufacture — check the batch date printed on each bag before use.

How to Maintain Tile Adhesive Installations
Once cured, Veromaxx tile adhesive requires no ongoing maintenance. The health of the installation over time depends on maintaining the grout joints and preventing water ingress at edges – see our tile grout and epoxy grout ranges for compatible joint solutions.
Why Contractors Choose Veromaxx Tile Adhesive
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to all your questions about our products, and applications.
What is the best tile adhesive for wall tiles?
For standard ceramic wall tiles up to 30x30cm, a Type 1 polymer-modified adhesive gives reliable performance at economical cost. For heavier vitrified wall tiles, or for bathroom and kitchen walls exposed to water, step up to a Type 2 flexible grade. Veromaxx wall tile adhesive is available in both grades – the product selector on this page recommends the right grade based on your tile type and location.
Which tile adhesive is best for vitrified tiles?
Vitrified tiles are non-porous, which means traditional sand-cement mortar cannot hold them reliably. Use a Type 2 or higher polymer-modified tile adhesive with tensile bond strength above 1 N/mm². Veromaxx offers dedicated vitrified tile adhesive grades that meet or exceed this specification and are field-proven across thousands of North Indian installations.
What is the difference between tile adhesive and cement?
Cement is a general-purpose binder. Tile adhesive is a purpose-engineered polymer-modified system that combines cement with acrylic or vinyl polymers to give higher bond strength, chemical adhesion to non-porous tiles, controlled pot life, and predictable setting. Where mortar fails on vitrified tiles, wet areas, or thermally-stressed installations, tile adhesive holds reliably for the life of the building.
How much tile adhesive do I need per square metre?
At the recommended 3mm bed thickness, plan on 4-5 kg of Veromaxx tile adhesive per square metre. For larger tiles requiring 5-6mm bed thickness or for back-buttering, budget 6-8 kg per square metre. Uneven substrates will increase consumption – always add 10-15% waste allowance to bag quantity calculations.
Can I use Veromaxx tile adhesive for large-format tiles?
Yes – but the correct grade is important. For tiles above 60x60cm, use Veromaxx [Tile Adhesive Quantum] or higher. Large tiles require adhesives with proven flexibility and higher tensile strength to handle the thermal expansion and installation stresses. Full back-buttering is also recommended for large-format installations to eliminate hollow spots.
Is tile adhesive waterproof?
Higher-grade Veromaxx tile adhesives are formulated for wet-area exposure and give effective waterproofing at the adhesive layer. However, tile adhesive alone is not a substitute for a full waterproofing system in bathrooms, terraces or wet zones — always combine with a proper waterproofing membrane on the substrate and a waterproof grout at the joints for a complete watertight installation.
How long does tile adhesive take to dry?
Veromaxx tile adhesive typically sets within 6-8 hours and reaches adequate strength for light foot traffic at 24 hours. Full mechanical strength develops over 72 hours. Do not grout the tiles for at least 24 hours after fixing, and do not expose the installation to water or heavy load for 72 hours.
Can Veromaxx tile adhesive be used outdoors?
Yes – use Veromaxx [Tile Adhesive Omega] for exterior applications. These grades are engineered for thermal cycling, UV exposure and freeze-thaw stress. Standard interior-grade adhesives are not suitable for exterior use and will fail within one to two seasons.
