Concrete Admixture for
Strength, Workability & Waterproofing

Veromaxx admixture is a liquid concrete additive engineered to enhance the fundamental properties of cement, concrete and mortar mixes — improving strength, workability, waterproofing performance and long-term durability. Whether the application is structural concrete, mortar plaster, or a specialised grout admix for tile joints, Veromaxx admixtures give contractors and builders the site performance they need on modern construction projects.

What is Veromaxx Admixture?

An admixture is a chemical additive dosed into concrete or mortar at the time of mixing to modify specific properties of the fresh or hardened material. The best admixture for concrete depends on what property you want to improve — some admixtures increase strength, others improve workability, others reduce water content, and specialised waterproofing admixtures reduce the porosity of the cured concrete.

Veromaxx offers a range of concrete admixtures for typical Indian construction requirements, plus a dedicated grout.

Stronger Than Traditional Cement Mortar

Admix formulation that replaces plain water when mixing tile grout, giving significantly stronger and more waterproof grout joints.

How to Mix & Apply Admixture

Follow this verified 4-step execution protocol to ensure a 100% void-free ceramic floor installation.

Prepare the concrete

Prepare the concrete or mortar mix as per your standard mix design.

Add Veromaxx admixture

Add Veromaxx admixture directly to the mixing water at the recommended dosage — 200 ml per 50 kg cement bag (or as specified for your application).

The admixture-water

Add the admixture-water to the dry mix (cement + aggregate + sand as applicable) and mix thoroughly for at least 3-5 minutes to ensure uniform dispersion.

The Concrete or Mortar

Place, compact and finish the concrete or mortar as per standard practice. The admixture does not change your placement or finishing procedure.

Cure the concrete

Cure the concrete or mortar as per standard practice — proper curing is essential to realise the full benefit of the admixture.

Suitable Substrates & Compatibility for Admixture

Compatible with all standard Portland cement types (OPC 43, OPC 53, PPC), and with common concrete aggregates. Veromaxx admixture works with typical mix designs — no special adjustment of cement-to-aggregate ratio is required. Always add the admixture at the recommended dosage — over-dosing can extend setting time and reduce early-age strength.

Admixture Pack Sizes & Price

Veromaxx admixture is available in 500 ml, 10ml, 1L bottle.

Admixture Drying & Curing Time

Veromaxx admixture at recommended dosage does not significantly change the setting time of concrete or mortar. Initial set typically at 3-4 hours, final set at 6-8 hours, and full strength at 28 days. Proper curing for at least 7 days is essential — cover concrete with wet hessian or apply curing compound to prevent premature moisture loss.

Admixture Safety Information & Handling

Veromaxx admixture is a chemical product — handle with basic care. Wear gloves during handling and dispensing. Avoid contact with eyes; in case of eye contact, rinse with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. Do not swallow. Use in a well-ventilated area. Keep out of reach of children. Grout Admix - Additive to Strengthen & Waterproof Tile Grout

What is Grout Admix & Grout Enhancer?

Veromaxx grout admix (also known as grout admixture or grout enhancer) is a specialised liquid admixture designed to replace the plain water normally used to mix tile grout. When mixed into Veromaxx tile grout (or any polymer-modified cementitious tile grout), it significantly enhances the strength, waterproofing and crack resistance of the finished grout joint.

Why Use Grout Admix Instead of Plain Water?

Standard cementitious tile grout is designed to work adequately with plain water. But mixed with grout admix in place of water, the same grout achieves substantially better joint performance:

  • Higher tensile and compressive strength in the cured joint
  • Better waterproofing — resists water absorption at the joint
  • Reduced cracking over time from thermal or mechanical stress
  • Improved colour retention and reduced staining
  • Longer service life before re-grouting is needed

When to Use Grout Admix in Your Tile Grout Mix

Use grout admix instead of plain water whenever the grout joint will face:

  • Water exposure — bathroom floors, kitchen backsplashes, wet areas
  • Heavy foot traffic — commercial floors, showrooms
  • Frequent cleaning with detergents or mild chemicals
  • Thermal cycling — balconies, terraces, exterior tile installations
  • Any premium project where long-term joint appearance matters

How to Use Veromaxx Grout Admix

  1. Instead of measuring plain water to mix Veromaxx tile grout, measure Veromaxx grout admix in the same quantity.
  2. Add the grout admix to a clean bucket.
  3. Gradually add the Veromaxx tile grout powder while mixing with a low-speed drill and paddle, exactly as you would with water. Do not add additional water — the grout admix replaces water entirely.
  4. Mix to a smooth, workable paste. Let stand for 5 minutes. Re-mix briefly. Apply and clean up as per standard tile grout application.

What does concrete admixture actually do?

Concrete admixture modifies specific properties of concrete at the mixing stage. Veromaxx admixture improves three things: workability (concrete flows and compacts better, filling forms cleanly), strength (typical 15-25% higher compressive strength at 28 days), and waterproofing (reduced permeability means the cured concrete resists water penetration). These benefits translate into more durable, longer-lasting structures.

When used as a grout admix in place of plain water, the admixture adds polymer components to the cementitious grout that give the cured joint flexibility. Plain cement grout is brittle and cracks under thermal expansion or minor structural movement. Polymer-enhanced grout absorbs small movements without cracking. This is why Veromaxx grout admix is recommended for any tile installation exposed to temperature changes or heavy use.

Yes – outdoor tile installations are exactly where grout admix delivers the biggest benefit. Exterior joints face daily thermal cycling (hot days, cool nights), rainwater exposure, and UV. Standard cement grout on outdoor tiles typically fails within 2-3 years. Grout mixed with Veromaxx grout admix has significantly improved weather resistance and lasts several times longer.

Not exactly – a waterproofing chemical typically applies as a coating on cured concrete or as a membrane. Veromaxx admixture works differently: it is dosed into the concrete or grout at the mixing stage and improves the waterproofing performance of the material itself. Both approaches have their place; for structural waterproofing (basements, terraces, water tanks), an integral waterproofing admixture like Veromaxx is often the more durable long-term solution.

Add Veromaxx admixture directly to the mixing water at the recommended dosage – typically 200 ml per 50 kg bag of cement. Mix thoroughly. Then combine the admixture-water with the dry mix (cement, sand, aggregate as appropriate) and mix for 3-5 minutes to ensure uniform dispersion. Place, compact and cure as per standard practice. Do not exceed the recommended dosage — more admixture is not better.
